The company was established in 1975 by original managing director John Gillespie Snr and is currently owned & operated by Denis Gillespie. Initially specialising in secondary tunnel linings and caulking, the company quickly expanded.
The company has since diversified and developed a well-respected reputation in the fields of tunnelling, shaft sinking, off-shore works and concrete re-medial works and resin injection up to and including nuclear spec. As the company has grown it has developed a management team that is highly motivated, innovative and experienced.  The company prides itself on its workforce that is highly qualified, skilled, hardworking and able to produce an end product that is delivered both on time and to the clients specification with health & safety paramount.

Fineturret has delivered projects ranging from 10m or less flood alleviation contracts, to working on high profile schemes including decommissioning of Sellafield and works on Hinkley Point C onshore and offshore.

As a company we pride ourselves on the relationships that we have built with some of the UKs leading construction companies as well as local water and transport authorities.  Working closely with our partners, we look to take an active approach in developing a design solution to meet the contract specific requirements for each individual project.  Our relationships with consulting engineers mean that we are also able to carry out E.C.I. towards design & build collaboration.
