Author Marlene Zaedyan is of Armenian heritage and was born in Lebanon. Her family has a history of forced migration after the Armenian Genocide. Living through the Lebanese Civil War as a child gave her a deep and perceptive understanding of survival and resiliency, two major topics in her book Nine Lives Endless Dreams: A Survivor's Story of Genocide and War. Marlene is a proud grandma of two, a mother to two special needs sons, and a daughter in addition to being a writer. She lives with her cherished puppy, Mango, in her married house. She has been a vegetarian for more than 30 years and holds multiple certifications in holistic therapies in addition to a degree in Chinese medicine.
