The launch of "Afrobeats:" on NaijaHits Spotify was announced today. Journey of a Billion Streams is a special website that will keep track of everything that has to do with the genre.

The site will look at how Afrobeats came to be in Ghana, how it became popular in Nigeria NaijaHits, how it mixed with other genres, and how it has become one of the most important cultural exports from Africa.

One of Africa's most important musical exports is Afrobeats, which is currently making waves all over the world. Since 2017, the genre has grown by 55% on Spotify, and it was streamed more than 13 billion times in 2022 alone.

Live events, awards, and streaming records are just a few of the significant milestones that leading Afrobeats artists have achieved on the global music stage NaijaHits.

The site will act as a vault for this social peculiarity, including text, infographics, visual components, Spotify streaming information, and the consequences of the April 2023 Afrobeats review charged by Spotify. Kuvora, a research company, conducted this survey to track the rise of Afrobeats and its impact on culture over time.

For the next eight weeks, the website will be updated biweekly and will continue to be an always-on resource with frequent updates on new Afrobeats moments. Fans will also be able to connect with new information about Afrobeats through an interactive experience.

The genre has been played for over 223 million hours in 2023 alone, with Spotify streams exceeding 7.1 billion.
