Establishing Royal Historical Tours has been a labour of love for my wife, Aisling, and I. With three young children in tow, we made the move from bustling Dublin City to the serene heritage town of Trim in County Meath eighteen years ago. It was a decision driven by our shared passion for Irish history and culture, and Trim’s rich tapestry of ancient landmarks like Trim Castle, Yellow Steeple, and Newtown Monuments captivated me from the start.

My fascination with Meath’s historical treasures sparked a journey of exploration and learning. I immersed myself in the study of genealogy and obtained certifications in tour guiding and genealogy from Portobello College in Dublin, merging my expertise with my profound love for Irish history. It was then that the vision for Royal Historical Tours began to take shape.
