Our Story: Nashville’s Original Pool Table Experts 

Nashville Billiard & Patio started in the game room business in 1953. Ray Gilchrist opened

his first store on the west side of Nashville selling pool tables and accessories. A move to the

the current location, on the south side of downtown in 1981, was opportune for sons Ronnie and

Glenn Gilchrist to join the family business. Shortly after, Ray’s youngest son, Cliff, joined the team

and all three brothers have continued to carry on their father’s legacy for over 30 years. Ray taught his sons the unique art of pool table building and installation as well as a love for the industry. 

More Than Billiards

Ray retired in 1995. Nashville Billiard and Patio expanded through the years to add indoor gaming items, kitchen counter stools and home theater seating. With these additions we have been able to meet Nashville’s need of having whole-home entertainment furniture under one roof. 

Much like the growth Nashville has seen, Nashville Billiard’s family and brand grew welcoming

in third generation family members to play key roles - Ronnie’s daughter, Katie, and Glenn’s

son, Nash.

In 2015 the decision was made to rebrand and extend family fun to the outdoors along with a name change to Nashville Billiard & Patio. Now offering outdoor furnishings to make open-air spaces an extension of the home; a space to unwind and enjoy as you would indoors.
