Charles Vance grew up outside Fishers, mending fence line with his dad before he was old enough to drive. Odd jobs for neighbors eventually turned into Fishers Fence Builder, though Charles says the work hasn't changed much: dig it right, set it straight, make sure the gate still swings true five winters from now. As the town filled in around those old farm roads, the jobs got more complicated: HOA paperwork, tighter lots, clay soil that doesn't forgive a lazy post hole. Charles still shows up to every estimate himself and treats a handshake like it means something.
